Now is the time for you to step forward and ask your city council and mayoral candidates how they plan to protect our already built, older neighborhoods from inappropriate infill.
We have the PlaniTulsa plan chosen and there will be more urban infill proposed. We need help with the appropriate zoning changes to help us ensure our property values are stable or increasing, while limiting increases in our property taxes.
Ask about the Land Use Task Force results. What has happened? Is it on the back burner to be abandoned with the new mayor? We need better communication with the city development processes.
We need better enforcement of code violations in our neighborhoods. The few inspectors we have are over-worked and cannot handle the complaints they receive.
Code enforcement is based on citizen complaints. We are not able to pay for the city to watch out for our rights. We must be our own watchdogs for our neighborhoods.
Vacant and abandoned properties are a blight to our maintained neighborhoods. What are our city leaders willing to do to stop this practice?
Please attend all candidate events to ask these important questions. Let’s get the answers now before we put them in office. We need accountability in our city government.
Remember——VOTE Tuesday, September 8th!
(This is the day following Labor Day.)
PreserveMidtown is pleased to announce two great events for people interested in remodeling their homes and need to work on their windows. Please check this out and share with others.
