Does a McMansion in your neighborhood affect your property value?

A McMansion next door only affects your property value if the person buying your house doen't want to have any sunlight in its windows, likes to be flooded by its much larger neighbor and could care less that they are probably helping to offset the huge mortgage that their neighbor can't afford to carry on their McMansion. In that case I would say its all good in the hood.
